The Minister of Commerce and Industry on a Short Visit to Estonia
The visit aims to view the experience of Estonia in the field of facilitating and simplifying trade registration procedures, business licenses, and the most important techniques used there. Estonia is considered one of the developed countries that facilitate and simplify trade procedures and business dealings.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has signed an agreement of the Comprehensive Development Project of the one-stop shop with Nortel; an Estonian company. The first stage of the project has been completed as well as 70% of the second stage, and it is estimated to complete the various stages of the project by the end of 2015. There are several government bodies involved in the project in addition to Oman Chamber of Commerce and industry.
HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry is accompanied by Dr Salim bin Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of Information Technology Authority, Khamis bin Abdullah Al Farsi, Director General of Trade, Khaled bin Suleiman Al Siyabi General Manager of E-Government Services in Information Technology Authority, Humaid bin Hamed AlBrashidi from the team of the one-stop shop in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Nasser bin Masood Al Khayari International Relations Specialist in Information Technology Authority.
